Import / Export tab

These functions are used to:

  • Save a copy of the controller and EtherCAT configurations backup file to a computer.
  • Import the backup file to be used for restore functions.

Controller

Description

Export Controller Backup

Click this button to save a backup of the controller firmware and configuration to a computer.

The filename of the backup exported to the computer are:

  • PCMM2G: kas-controller-2g-backup.zip.
  • The file may be renamed to help identify the backup file with the machine

Choose File

Click this button to select a previously exported backup file to be imported.

Replace Controller Backup

Click this button to import the selected backup file, replacing any existing backup.

EtherCAT Devices

Description

Export EtherCAT Backup

Click this button to save a backup of the EtherCAT configuration to a computer.

  • The filename of the backup exported to the computer is kas-network-backup.tgz.
  • The file can be renamed to help identify the backup file with the machine.

Choose File

Click this button to select a previously exported backup file to be imported.

Replace EtherCAT Backup

Click this button to import the selected backup file, replacing any existing backup.
